Autism Spectrum Disorder is a neurological condition that comes with a wide range of emotions, behaviors, and traits--a spectrum of experiences that combine in unique ways for each individual Autistic person.
Using the alphabet to highlight these common traits, Autism is a Spectrum is written for children, youth, parents, educators, and family members to get insight on how Autistic brains think, process, and feel.
Each trait, behavior, or emotion associated with a letter of the alphabet helps Autistic people and their loved ones learn why their brains or bodies might act differently than neurotypical peers, with the hope that understanding of these traits will encourage empathy and acceptance for all Autistic people.
